now which photoshop are you using Photoshop Elements or Photoshop CS3. Also I am wondering if Gimp can do exactly what you just said you did for your texture.

I used Photoshop Elements, it came with my tablet.  I believe it should be pretty easily possible with Gimp to do that with the textures.  You just need to be able to use blending groups (and grouping would be useful, but that's only if you wanted to have easily editable color schemes.)

Well, digging this up, but I realized I never actually posted this render.

Earlier it was on the front page and made nice and pretty by TheProducer, but here's what I can show you now.  I'm working on some other renders for other pages on CG-nation.
