Finished (?) project - The Need for Speed contest entry

Hello fellow Anim8ors.  This is possibly my final submission to the Need for Speed contest being run on animanon.com (it's a running contest, all are welcome to submit entries, from all skill and experience levels).  I may add sound effects if I get time before this stage of the contest ends.  The lens effects were added frame by frame in Corel, otherwise the modelling, rigging and rendering were all performed using Anim8or V0.95.

another excellent video, ensoniq!  i liked the car/bike/trike thing, was it an original design of yours, or did i miss something in the automotive world?

Well, it's sorta original.  The idea of the trike with the front section able to bank when cornering has been around for a while, and a few concept vehicles have been made that follow this idea, but in my opinion they just didn't look sporty enough.  I imagine such a vehicle would be a blast to drive, so I wanted mine to look a bit tougher, nastier, more dangerous.

All with Anim8or? How did you get the movement so smooth?

Great animation, as usual. I love the city environment, it's incredibly real! I guess you used a lot of emissive maps... Great job!

The vehicle is really cool, but the animation didn't really give me the feeling of speed. I don't know why, perhaps I expected some skidding and smoking tires ::)

Never mind, cool animation anyway!
