Sorry I don't have an answer for you. Lattices are one feature I've wanted since the beginning, I got interested in 3d through watching Veggietales and naturally wanted to do their eyes, another example of this type of eye would be Mr. Potato head in Toy story... I wonder if, with scripting fully implemented into the scene, and figure editor, if lattices could be created with scripts... or maybe eyeball meta-objects, that would allow you to animate rotations as well as squish and stretch...

Hello Everyone,

It's been a long time since I've been around, I just pop in occasionally to see what's going on. First I'd like to say Thanks Steve! Even though I've moved on to other programs, Anim8or was what got me excited and showed me that I could animate in CG! But the second point I'd like to ask is "What happened?" I don't want to complain, just curious if Steve has just stopped work for a while, or has he worked silently on ANIM8OR and is planning on skipping alphas and going straight into 1.0, or has he dropped the project altogether?

I would like to see anim8or continue and flourish. I use blender now, and even though I've used it for a while I still sometimes forget some of the interface quirks, or what hotkeys to hit. So I think with blender's focus on trying to be an all-in-one movie maker, modeler, game maker. I think that Anim8or could easily focus on being the best user friendly CG modeling and animation tool out there!

Sam

That's Awesome

What I'd like to see is a feature integrating procedural textures, textures having 3d coordinates.

Um Hi, It's been a long time since I've used anim8or so I might be a little rusty I think there is (or was) a feature like this is the works. I was thinking though that a good solution to this might be a new object type, you could call it a "motion path" or a "control path." It would be your basic path plus for each point on the path it would include a "relative" frame number, and a speed setting. This value could then be accessed by either "attaching an object" or by accessing the attributes to change color, size etc... the frames would have to be relative to allow for looping, or if it's possible to insert an instance of an path into a different place in the timeline.
