Okay then I was just suggesting that maybe I could help Steve. I really think he is a great man to have made such a software by himself and that incourages me to do well on my project too.

Thanks a lot every one here for your support and thank you Steve for this great software.

thanks for the reply and the warm welcoming mate ;)

well if he wants to keep his 'baby' closed source then the production is going to be really slow and I would really like to be working on it to improve it but internally, stuff to do with rendering and animating etc. the reason why I think it is an extremely bad idea to keep it closed source is that the users will be missing out on the latest features that other softwares have and that isn't fair on the community.

back in 2007 I think I was looking at this site and today when I entered it, it looked more or less the same.

I really would like to know what are the aims of this software.

by the way, I am not saying i hate it because if I did I wouldn't be here talking and even if I cannot work on the programming I will still make some animation and models ;)

any way I will tell you a bit more about me.

I am a programmer using C++ and opengl+sdl.

I have been a blender user for over 4 years and now I am programming my own game engine.

I have known anim8or as long as I have used blender and now I want to contribute to it, if possible since it is really behind compare to blender.

Hello everyone.

I have just been looking at the website and I saw updates from 2008 and the last time the software was updated was I think 2007 so what happened to the software??

does it need more developers?
