General Anim8or Forum / It wont let me do anything!!
« on: March 18, 2010, 10:53:08 pm »
Heey everyone,
I have recently gotten a new computer and it is with windows 7, I have come to the conclusion that the program Anim8or is not compatible it, and so I have downloaded anim8or on my dads computer which is windows XP. But for some reason after transferring all of my work from my old XP computer, putting it on my new one, then using a USB to put it on my dads computer it wont let me do a number of things on the program. For example, it will not let me put in textures, and mould the points on the figure. PLEASE HELP!!!!  :(

I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to save a figure from one project onto another saved profect? For example, i have followed the animating water tutorial on http://www.biederman.net/leslie/terranim8or/terranim8or.htm, and i want to use the effect on my already started project, but when i click on open it opens a whole new project apart from my origanal one.

General Anim8or Forum / relationships between objects
« on: July 06, 2009, 09:11:58 am »
Hi,
I was just wondering if someone could tell me if there is anyway to make objects that are added to different bones, attracted to eachother. For example, if one bone moves away from the other, I don't want there to be a gap, I want there to be a thin connection, where the gap would normally be, if that makes any sense. please help.
Thanks

Hi,
I have been using anim8or for a small while, but i have noticed that when i have saved my work, and open it up again another day the colours of my figure turn grey. Although the objects i have used are still in colour in object mode. I usually just re colour it every single time i open it up, but i was just wondering if anyone could tell me why this is happening? I never change any of the textures in my documents.
Thanks
Natalie

Hi,
I don't know if there is any other way to animate, but the way I animate is by using bones. I find it a little diffucult to model thing like wings or legs, and still make it look realistic when it is all put together. I usually model the thigh, the hip, and shin and all the parts seperately, and add it to the bone in figure mode, but is there an easier way?

thanks.
