General Anim8or Forum / Need Help with Very Simple Problem

Ok so I'm really new with Anim8or and i have a really simple problem which i know has a workaround because i've seen it in finished works with Anim8or. my problem is this: my animation in scene mode always starts at frame 0. For example, if I want a bat to swing and hit a ball, how do I make the bat start swinging at, say, 3 seconds. Whenever I try, the bat makes a long, slow movement starting from frame 0. Any help would be welcome.
