General Anim8or Forum / UV Mapper
« on: September 29, 2008, 03:18:49 pm »
I am trying to get to grips with using a UV Mapper.   I have downloaded a tutorial and am, to the best of my ability, following the instructions given, and yet when I download an image and find it in the UV Mapper and try to open it I repeatedly get the message "This OBJ file has no facet information".   I have no idea what this message means.   Obviously I am doing something incorrectly but I don't kno >:(w what.   Can anyone please help.

« on: August 29, 2008, 07:46:20 am »
Why is it that whenever I send an attachment to Work in Progress, the attachment cannot be opened.   What am I doing wrong?  I go into Browse and open the file which is in Anim8or and it shows as an attachment - abut it does not open when I try to open it myself.

General Anim8or Forum / FACING CORRECT DIRECTION
« on: May 29, 2008, 10:50:01 am »
::)I have created a goldfish in point editor and he swims well - the problem is how do I get him to face in the direction in which he is travelling..   If for example he was swimming in a circle there should never be a time when he is swimming backwards to complete the circle.   His body should always be following his nose.  Can anyone help me please.   Doug

General Anim8or Forum / REFERENCE IMAGING
« on: May 15, 2008, 08:16:54 am »
What exactly is reference imaging and what purpose does it serve.  Is it so that you have an image to hand to which to refer to in order to remind yourself what it should look like or does it actually have a practical value?

Is it possible to move an image which is in Macromedia Flash 5 to a page in Anim8or (Object mode) which already has im image on it.   I want to try to superimpose one image on top of  another.   One from Macromedia and the other already in Anim8or.  If anyone knows how, could you please lead me through it step by step.   Many thanks.   Doug

Can anyabody explain how UV texturing works.   How for example can you move an eye into place by the use of the UV button.   I get the yellow round circle and the two rectangles within the circle - but what then?

I have worked my way through this utorial and have experienced one problem which is when asked to select the nose face the two adjoining faces also are selected.   Anyone know why please?   Also having progressed to the neaxt phase of this tutorial i.e  TEXTURING I cannot see how the eyes and mouth are created by "moving" and squeezing the faces about.   Help please
