Anim8or Challenges / Re: Challenge #6: Space scene
« on: July 09, 2009, 06:21:45 am »
Well, this is my scene at the moment... I call it "Love at first sight"  ;D

I have a lot of work to do on it, specially Iīd like to give the small planet a "moonlike" texture. Iīve just started with textures, so Iīm not very sure about how should I do it. Iīd also like to add other elements as a planet or a sun. Iīll do it depending on the time...

I like very much your scenes. My favourite at the moment is Ratticisī one. Very clean and attractive. Maybe a big storm over the Caribbean would be very dramatic, hehehe...

I don´t mind to be confused with Kreator. I wish I had his style, hehe  ;D

Anyway, Ratticis, my Sputnik is going to be only a small part of the (intended) scene, so probably yours will be awesome. In fact, I did´nt look for info about it, only one picture! I don´t want to make a perfect scale and textured Sputnik, only the general idea everybody has about it...

Hey, thatīs a great idea for a challenge, even if most people have already a space scene done (at least 60% of the artwork shown in the forum is space related  :D ). Anyway, Iīll try to join the challenge, and I hope to be able to finish my scene this time. Iīve already started with the first model...

By the way, thanks for the 2 votes I get on the previous challenge. I didnīt deserve it...  :P

Those feet are really funny; Iīd keep them barefoot...  ;D

As for me, I think I shouldnīt be in the list... not only for chosing the easiest character, but for being uncapable of finishing it!!  :-[

Iīve had very little time this last days, so my model is incomplete. I wouldnīt vote myself, so I donīt expect to have a single vote, hehe.

Congratulations to all, your models are really good. I promise to work harder on the next challenge.

Hey, that looks great!

Iīm happy I "pushed" you to go back to this project, because itīs really amazing!

Iīve been very busy these days, and I couldnīt even finish my pencil bird for the Wonderland challenge... but I hope to start on my first animation with my green creatures soon!

Please show us your progress on this project.

Regards

I feel quite ashamed posting my "progress" after those great caterpillars and the jabberwocky... Have to say I feel very disappointed: I looked for the easiest character and Iīm not able to finish it!  :'( Iīm blocked with the wings, totally uncapable of making something like feathers...

Well, I have a few days left until the challenge ends... Iīll try my best, although my best is very poor  ;D

Seriously guys, you are real artists!

This will be my first contribution to a challenge. Iīve selected an easy character. Hope to finish it in time and give at least a not very bad impression... you guys are really good with anim8or!!  :)

Thanks for your advices. I think Iīll go for the bones option, only to know its use well before I try morphing anything.

Wow, thatīs impressive, $imon!!

Iīm making one of those Tulgey Wood creatures, much easier than that... You rock!

Well, Iīm trying to do a short animation with those green things, and find very difficult to animate the eyelids. As they have no mouth, arms, etc., all the expressions, gestures, feelings and so will be shown through the eyes, so I want to be able to move the eyelids back and forward and from side to side... but sometime they "hide" behind the eye globe, so itīs going to take longer than I thought...

While I solve this Iīm creating some equipment for the soldiers, trying to keep the "cartoon" style. Next weapon should be a sword and maybe a cannon or a crossbow... Another problem is that greenies donīt have hands, so posing them with weapons can be a headache... but itīs funny!  :)

Thanks a lot for your comments. I didnīt expected nothing better than "keep working", so I feel very good right now :-)

As for animations, Iīm not sure if Iīm prepared for that. Iīll try to do a little test and, if it doesnīt work, Iīll continue modelling and learning. Iīm pretty far from your spaceships, red steam tractors and so... :-)

Wow, thanks for the encouragement!  ;)

Hi again

Well, this is my sencond try with anim8or and I have to say itīs amazing how a beginner can get decent results instead of getting disappointed as with other low-learning pace programs.

Here Iīve been just playing with basic figures, extruding and so. Iīve downloaded the floor and sign textures from the sites that appear in the Resources section. The rest is mine.

Ok, itīs not as spectacular as most of the works I can see here, but I feel very proud of myself  :D . Hope to see some comments on it, and also ways to improve the final result.

Thanks in Advance,

Khaspah.-

Finished Works and Works in Progress / Robot - 1st work
« on: May 25, 2009, 08:35:21 am »
Hi everybody

Iīve been "playing" for a few days with Anim8r and this is one of my first decent results: a robot trying to be in the style of Asimovīs ones.

Iīm not a good English speaker so is not easy for me to understand all the concepts in anim8rs menus and so, but I try to do my best.

Anyway, Iīll thank your comments and advices. Hope to be able to show a better model soon!

Thanks in advance,

Khaspah.-
