This is a simple wav editor called WaveLab Lite.

I just put it below Anim8or - drag it to the size I want and then put anim8or over the top and drag it to the size I want. You will have to pay attention to the time line in both programs, but it will get you to where you want. Any wav editor will work if it has a time line for you to see.

Of course I used the update 97c with the sliders - That took this program to an all new height.

I am was having problems with 'extrude path'

I closed the program and restarted it and it seems to work now.

It would extrude the path but everything was flat and not 3D. Tried it different ways and nothing changed.

Seems to be fine, but if it happens again I will do a print screen for you to see.

The stage lights move up and down and two of them follow bouncing balls. I made this for the church I attend. It is still in the render mode - frame 41 out of 300. Each frame takes about 30 to 40 min with shadows and 15 to 20 min without.

I was playing around with optics using dielectric - I render this in object mode for a quick look and this is what I saw.

I've posted two pics - one to show the objects before the render and one after the render.

General Anim8or Forum / After 3.5 days of rendering - All was lost!
« on: September 03, 2008, 11:33:53 pm »
After rendering for 3.5 days on a project that was only for 10 seconds my computer wanted to restart with a windows update. Well the funny thing is, my computer was not hooked up to the net at that time, but it did download an update earlier that day, but I did not want to to install at that time. So for what ever reason it installed anyway at 3:50am and I lost it all. The avi file was corrupt and could not be used.

So please do yourself a favor and turn off your windows update before you render animation and disconnect from the internet or just use a different computer.

7.5 seconds were rendered - I was so close! wah! wah! wah!

Finished Works and Works in Progress / Caustics - How would this look?
« on: August 30, 2008, 12:34:50 pm »
Hi Steve, just trying to inspire you when it comes to caustics. Can you imagine how this would look if caustics were involved. I rendered this at 1024x768 with the AA set to 16; this took about 8 to 10 hours.

I didn't render with shadows because of the look I was going for.

This is just 400x300 to save space.

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Jagged Shadows - Art Ray Trace
« on: August 30, 2008, 12:23:49 pm »
No matter how high I set the AA to, the shadows are not smooth. I have tried setting the AA to 64, 81, 100 and it still looks the same as 9, 16.

I rendered the same in scanline and it comes out just fine.

The shadows are not smooth even on the sphere.

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Shadows are the same color as the light
« on: August 19, 2008, 08:20:29 pm »
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but the shadow that is being cast is the same color as the light. If I use two lights with different colors lets say yellow and blue. The blue light will cast a yellow shadow and the yellow light will cast a blue shadow.

Wish I had a pray tool to color  with. I'll try to export in 3ds and play with it in another program.
