Hah, not very god at using edge extrude then.. I can't seem to get it to work on 0 depth objects.

Anyway, I have always desired the ability to disselect individual things...

Spending 5 minutes individually selecting the proper faces turns into a hassle when you accidentally miss one...

Also, real-time modifiers would be nice :P.

Francesco VERY COOL SCRIP!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! ;)

I have two sugestions for Future using your script OK... ::)

Somehow you always manage to make these awesome looking pictures that perfectly display your idea... :P

Anyway, reminds me of nCloth in Maya.

Great idea. (A carve script would be really awesome though)

I don't know if I understand it right, but it sounds like you need the edge extrude tool... I think it does the same like the point extrude tool you're requesting.

I don't think extrude edges works with objects with 0 depth. I did find a good substitute though; add points works fine. :P Sometimes I really just skip over tools that are already there.

Here is another idea

Extrude Points

Works just like extrude faces, but with points. (What a twist) The below picture will clarify on the purpose. (Excuse the bad organizing had a bad error when saving and had to kinda paint over it)

Sorry about kinda ignoring the current topic on bone mirroring :P I appreciate the topic being kept alive :D.

Well, faces in anim8or can have many sides to a polygon. When a mesh is triangulated each polygon on the mesh is split into triangles. To be honest, I have no clue why programs are not compatible with non triangular faces...

I am fairly sure anim8or automatically triangulates faces on a 3ds export, so it should be as simple as Export 3ds, Import 3ds, Export Obj.

If not, I am sure there are a few scripts around that may have that operation (Terranim8or also it).

The mesh must be triangulated before it can be UV mapped.

It seems moderately inactive here, I was curious to how long this topic would last on its own :P. Anyway, I hope suggestions will continue to be posted and critiqued here.

(Shhhh, no positive feedback, if we are negative he could come out with something much more awesome)

I am looking forward to your next release; I am sure you will come out with something really cool.

I've actually used Zbrush (far from mastered it). It has some interesting modeling functions.

I can only explain it this way, the sculpting tools use a brush to push the polygons around, and the different tools push the polys a different way. The tools themselves cannot add polygons, they can only move them around.

Although sometimes I confuse whether the bird is facing the side or me :P

Now looking at it, I believe the 3d bird is a much better aesthetic choice.

(And I am fairly sure all professionalism will be saved for the VERSION 1.0 RELEASE)

(Oh, this makes the 50th post signifying the VERY HOT TOPICISM)

Well, this would probably be a little better suited in the .97 preview forum.. Aside from that, applying multiple modifiers is already possible. After applying the modifier click effect modifier before you apply another one.

Otherwise these are good suggestions
