hay i finaly got a job (not animating, sigh) its in a mill. but to the point; im on break with some guys who are going to school mostly for something in comp prog . i brought up anim8tor, they were intersted but asked questions i didnt know the answer to. is it cad based? i am faced with an emberasing fact. i am rather confident with my abillitys in anim8or and have been using it for a long time but dont realy know the tech of anim8or. i guess my queston is, whats the long handed technical discription of anim8tor? how can i sound smart infront of these guys.

as a personal challenge to myself becouse ive never done it; im making two charicters fight. just a fist fight no weapons. im just looking for some tips from the experts who have done fights. how would you go about creating an exersize like this. or any sugestions.

first off i renderd this in open gl for time
im trying to create debree and ruble infront of this bolder as it hits the ground. i used fire from teran8or(sp?) and substituted a rock for the fire texture.( which my computer realy dosnt like) it looks like crap.
should i try differnt fire settings or mabee a difernt prog. or ..... your sugestions

can anyone elts make a figure stand still. i have fought this for years. make a figure walk to a point stand still for about 48 frames and then move. when i try this during the 48 frames it still travels. mostly if i make it realitve to path. ive used the gragh editor and i dont know what there called , the green lines in scene editor that controll the path.

im trying to follow jebs tutorial on toon rendering. but i cant get the black out line to show in the render. im thinking mabe the new up grades in anim8or negate this effect. can any one tell me why this isnt working and/or how i can get this effect.

just a cuirous question to increese my anim8tion knowleage ( kneed to increese my spell knwlage to)
im sitting here doodling with splines, i made a spiral but if i try to extrude it i get "malformed spline cant extrude" i have come across this before. im curious why.
