I looked at all the features and it doesn't look like it has anything that blender now doesn't have. Also since blender redesigned their interface its been real easy for me to learn.
Is there anything really substantial in this software that blender doesn't have? Since the price is still low I might buy if it does.

What exactly are you trying to do? You said you were trying to select the object. I think what you need to do to get were your trying to go is, select the object like I explained then go to build up at the top of the screen. and then under that menu select convert to mesh. Then go to object/point mode and move around your points, lines, etc.

Go to object edit. The top left button. Then make sure the little mouse button click things is selected. under the x,y,z. Buttons. It should be called select when you hover over it. Or select the square. Should be called drag select and make sure your whole box is selected.

But mainly just make sure your in object/edit mode. Not object/point mode. The mouse click icon. Not the icon with the three points.

Hope this helps.

What do you consider popular? I was thinking of doing something from a video game. If video games wouldn't be considered popular enough then I'll probably go for Emperor Palpentine from Star wars. After he turned all evil looking.

I am designing a model of a car. I wanted to design one with a model of an engine that could be seen if I ever wanted the hood up but, I wasnt that good yet and just designed the body of the car first. I was not aware that I could just hide the car and design the engine. So I designed the engine in a seperate anim8or file.

My question is can I load up the engine into the same object/edit mode are as the car I designed or will I just have to remake the engine?

I'd like to join. I just started using animator so I propably wont be able to do much usefull yet. However, since were just throwing out ideas for now, I have a little bit of time to get my modelling skills up I guess :)
I like number 3 the best (even though no one else likes the idea (also where is it overused and don't say halo cause halo seems much more modern times than futuristic, to me at least)). Number 2 definetly has an appeal to it though, so i'd go for that too. As for the medieval idea this is the one I think is overused in games but its also the games I like playing most so it would be my third choice.
I'll be glad to help out anyway I can.
