General Anim8or Forum / Re: Using bone as parent in Scene mode?
« on: August 21, 2014, 09:06:57 am »
Yes it is possible and I have done this twice. For example if you are adding a wooden spoon object to a cartoon chef hand, simply go to the figure editor add your spoon and it will appear in the scene editor. Now simply save your anim8or file to your hard drive and name - chef with spoon. So now you have 2 anim8or files, 1= cartoon chef has no spoon.
2= cartoon chef has a spoon in his hand.
I hope this helps you.

This is great!!!

This is great Steve, just tried it with my XP machine, I tried it in the scene editor with camera view and the mouse wheel changed the FOV of the camera (just like an automatic zoom on digital camera).
But you still have to manually change the FOV for animation.
Would it be a good idea if the mouse wheel changed the FOV for animation????

Hi KyleSan, I assume you are attempting to produce 2d rendered image/animation. I use flat shading sometimes adding textures i.e Ambient 1.1 , Diffuse 0.09 everything else =0
Watch my youtube film, let me know if you need any help

I like the way you've done the hair, I assume it's alpha mapped.

Ongoing Anim8or Development / Re: Layers
« on: February 07, 2014, 04:24:59 pm »
Thank you Steve for these great new additions, just started to use the layers, could be very useful  in the scene editor for animation?
Some 2D animation packages use layers, for example for facial expression, could be an alternative to morph targets?
The layers in blender were always useful, and I use layers in Photoshop all the time.
Check out these tutorials for animie studio and toon boom
