Building a spartan (FINISHED)

Janro:
I gotta hand it to you Navek this is one amazing model. I'd even think it'd be a rip from the game if I didn't know any better. :P

Is the figure attached to the root via a bone? I'd suggest adding some bones in between the pelvis and the root bone. That way you can already add in the sequence some up and down motion during the cycles. More on the run. The walk cycle was pretty good.

Navek:
Just a quick update...

Janro: Thanks a ton for the tip, the sequences looks so much better now that I've added that. Should have the test render up soonish.

As far as progress goes, I'm still grinding away at it but I've had a little less time with school winding to a close. Looks like what started out as a 2 month summer project has turned into a full year undertaking. Hopefully I'll have the thing finished by the end of this summer at the latest. Thought I'd post a render with updated textures, and a bit of concept art I whipped up for one of the characters without the helmet.

Edit: Thought I'd throw up a render of the updated skybox too.

Navek:
I feel like i've been saying this alot but... I reworked the model again. Tried to fix up the last remaining proportion issues. Also I worked backwards a bit made the Mark V armor from the original game, as well as a concrete barrier and a traffic cone... and Coneman.

Navek:
Not hugely relevant to the project at the moment but I thought I'd model and texture the plasma sword from the games to see what I could do with some simple trans & emissive maps. And thought I'd try uploading an animated .gif too.

dwsel:
I'm watching this project silently, but I had to say that it's going in a very nice direction ;)
