Anim8or v1.0 Discussion Forum / Feature request - Sliders..Multiple sliders
« on: November 26, 2022, 04:54:16 am »
[Feature request]
I would love to see sliders for morph targets like a window that shows all morph targets sliders for existing morph targets.
That would be game changing...

Technical :
This should be easy to achieve.. In my experiment(as shown on picture) I get the value of the slider when the slider moves then update morph value on slider release.. but this only works for one morph at a time since well it's just window automation

Anim8or v1.0 Discussion Forum / Morph or Not
« on: July 13, 2022, 05:21:21 am »
I was working on a little something..until I came across an odd behavior.. at first I thought it is a bug and eventually I tested across multiple versions...It appears when you delete vertices on a mesh with morph targets all the targets disappear..or am I missing something?

I am back after a few months of a coding contract...Apparently it had something to do with 3d physics...Anyway so I found this render and decided to recreate in anim8or boy it proves a challenge I have tried people I am struggling to make this look almost the same...

Finally I got 3 months break I can get back to anim8or...Anyway I'll be working on a talking head I want to make it as best as it can get with anim8or.
So while I was working (doing some coding and stuff for a company) I found a solution to one other thing that fascinated me...I wanted to export blender to anim8or and I did...Below is the fifth test of porting ripples animation made with blender 2.82 physics to anim8or morph targets and yeah it worked 100%  8)

ASL Scripts / Nifty tool
« on: October 18, 2020, 12:56:33 pm »
I decided to rebuild some of the old scripts I wrote to simplify my work anyway below I have attached a small nifty standalone software.

The software does not need installing you just run. However first you need to create a folder in C: and rename it to "NiftyTool",then copy the software to the folder.

If anyone finds this useful let me know..

You can download from my drive here

General Anim8or Forum / Scene to obj sequence export
« on: October 07, 2020, 09:43:58 am »
I wasn't sure where to post this
So after I created a script that allows me to quickly import a video as background in anim8or...other ideas started flooding in...now I created another script that allows me to import blender animations to anim8or as morph targets...this script uses several calculations and equations to generate the exact data as anim8or morph targets unfortunately it's still in PHP and complicated and not user friendly see video demo below
I'll probably share this if I ever get to make it user friendly

Anyway most 3d animation softwares I have personally used(not limited to AM,AIO,blender,Maya,Messiah) allows you to animate each vertex(I mean you can move bones and modify the vertex in pose mode..to get proper deformations -not talking about shape keys/morph targets) while anim8or does not allow you to do that it looks possible I am curious why Steve has not implemented that yet.

[REQUEST]Anyway I am requesting a "scene to obj sequence export" I have noticed to .3ds is already possible.
With this feature I am planning on a script to convert the scene to morph targets so I can fix deformations on every frame.

I would pretty much prefer to do everything in anim8or since I am using it for modelling all the time due to it's clean interface...

Finished Works and Works in Progress / Back to the dummy
« on: September 17, 2020, 12:19:47 pm »
I have never taken much time looking at the animation side of anim8or since well I have Blender,Maya and Akeytsu for that...but then since well I am free I decided to check it out I re-modelled the dummy person I used back in the days to learn animation in Blender and AM...
.Then I coded a script that allows me to import videos into anim8or for reference...Keep your eyes peeled I will be attempting to make a decent base animation on anim8or...
I have already rigged the dummy person...I'll update this post soon

The script will be available soon as I compile it...because it's PHP unlike ASL which is already supported by anim8or

General Anim8or Forum / Advanced Feature Request
« on: January 01, 2020, 05:57:35 am »
So I bought 3 array monitors...
I ran anim8or then an idea came into mind...
I was thinking it would be awesome if anim8or could run in realtime(somehow synced) imagine opening 3 instances of anim8or on 3 screens and syncing the work... like you can move coordinates while watching the render changes on the other screen running another instance then move to another screen and change materials I believe this is possible from my knowledge of coding...

The following aspects can make it possible
1.The program must store the changes data in a file somewhere
2.The program must constantly keep checking for changes in that file
(in this way when multiple instances are opened they can sync)
3.or to prevent arguments the program could have a manual refresh

This will also open opportunities to render via network(LAN) on multiple computers..

Let's discuss anyone else who thinks this is possible?
