ASL Scripts / Re: needs a script that works with Lux Render?
« on: September 06, 2009, 12:41:24 pm »
Well I looked at the website, but I don't think that anybody would be able to make an ASL script with it simply because it is not possible to do so with ASL.

However.......

Since luxrender is opensource, and comes with C++ Api, it would be possible for Steve himself to implement LuxRender into Anim8or itself. I think that it would be a pretty cool addition to Anim8or, since everyone is always wanting more renderers, thought I don't know how complicated it would be to use the renderer (remember, anim8or is know for its simplicity) also if you are running vista, you also have to download Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package, but I figure if you want a new renderer that bad, you won't have any problems installing it. Another good thing about LuxRender is that it works with different OS's.

Will Steve add Lux, I don't know, but it would be a great addition to Anim8or.

Ahh, I remember the first thing organic I tried to model was a wolf, (it is a wolf right?) lets just say you are doing way better then I did ;)

I would like to see a wireframe though.

Also the eyes look a little weird, not the shape of them, but the edges seem a little sharp.

When I find the picture of the caterpillar that I made I'll show you how I did the eyes if that would help you any.

Keep up the good work, it really is looking nice :)

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Re: Question about animated textures.
« on: August 05, 2009, 02:50:54 pm »
Thanks Kreator, I've downloaded it and about to watch it.
I use Firefox 3.5, It would be nice on the web-page if we could download each individual video.
Also thanks for taking the time to make all of these tutorials. If anyone needs help starting out anim8or, I'll refer them to your tutorials

Sorry, this is a little off topic, but kreator, when I go to dotan8 and click on the tutorials link I try to watch the morphing tutorial but it never buffers. Is there another way I can watch the video? (or is there a way to download it?)

Thanks

kreator, the computer that I put carrara was on the computer that just recently crashed (it was 8 years old), but no worry I have it on the other "good" computer. And I did not know that carrara had animated texture support so I am looking into it right now.

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Question about animated textures.
« on: August 04, 2009, 10:52:33 pm »
I'm not suggesting this (since it has already been suggested, and I hope it will be implemented soon), but I was wondering how exactly does animated textures work. When you go to apply a texture onto a plane do you upload an .avi file (or any other movie file) instead of a picture? Or do you have to put a bunch of pictures together? (I personally like the first option better)

Thanks for clearing this up for me :)

MP3D, I have about 120 megabytes of you tutorials.

Tomorrow I will start uploading them, but I will take awhile to upload them (and I have DSL too :-[)

What are some of the tutorials that you do have so I don't have to upload ones you already have?

Also thanks for all of those tutorials!

I swear I think I did every single tutorial you made, they helped me out a lot.

Thanks soooo much, you have helped out the Anim8or community!
