Hey as long as you post well thought out C&C, or help out others then it's all good, you don't have to worry about posting too much ;)

So long almost cool, we will miss you :'( Just remember we'll still be here if you decide to come back :D

DRAZiACH: It is a sad truth, members come and go, and some of them just decide to stick around and stay. I remember when I first joined the forum, there were a few that I became friends with, but as the months went by some of them just "disappeared". But yea it is a common thing, but we still have a good solid member base around here and we still have eager people ready to help others and that is what matters the most :) :)

Did you use the lathe tool to make the first snowflake and forget to flip normals. If so then I know how you feel.

General Anim8or Forum / Re: is zbrush cheating?
« on: February 01, 2009, 12:22:24 pm »
yea don't look at as cheating look at it as a tool to help you achieve greater things with your models. I mean you made that model yourself. Now blender also has a sculptor. It is not as good as zbrush, but blender is free.

At the bottom is a goblin that I made, it started out as a sphere but I sculpted it into an almost 100,000 poly face. It doesn't have to be so high poly but the more multi-resolution layers you add the more high poly it will be but you can add greater detail. My goblin I believe has 6 or 7 multi-layers but I can't remember

Ohh...hmmm I am going to look into how people in the professional industry make realistic trees as low poly as the quality will allow. (Now I pretty sure people like Pixar have extremely high poly trees because they are only rendering it all once, but gaming companies, I'll have to check it out.)   OFF TO GOOGLE ;D

When I find an answer I'll post it.

headwax when I made a tree in carrara and exported it to anim8or it didn't work. Have you gotten that problem? Also yes carrara has a good tree generator but I figure that they are VERY high poly.

i'm doing great. I have been learning blender a little bit, but I am still going to use anim8or for modeling. Now I am trying to master Gimp (I hope you don't have to be born with artistic ability :-[) And I am also trying to master Java(which will take awhile),then move on to C++. If everything goes the way I hope then I have big plans for the future.

Also eyes have more of an oval shape but it depends, people that are more far sighted have more oval and vise versa.
