I had a problem too with ART and textures. When i render this scene with some reflection added at the windows of the back building, I noticed there where some parts still grey. This doesnt happens when i render the same scene with scanline.

Here is a picture of what mean, look at the red circle:

I run windows XP, and have a Geforce 6200gt videocard.

Thank you steve. This is what Anim8or needed: again one step closer to perfect realism in anim8or. With this new option our renders will look so cool. Keep up the good work.

A thing you can do is higher up the smooth angle of your object. Just double click on the object and you will see 'smooth angle 45'. Try out increasing the smooth angle for the right smoothing of your edges.

Thanks for the tips and the good comments. I will try out some different lightings and stuff and see how it goes from there.

Use the visible option from the object. Double click on your object in scene mode and you will see a check box with visible. Click on the dots next to it, here can you keyframe the visibility of your object: 0=invisible 1=visible.

Here a little project I'm working on. I suppose to be a small dirty alley. Still not done thought. I need to work on the background and the lighting.

Two Test renders:

-Day time-

-Night time-

Make a cube with divisions 3,3,3 or something. Convert to subdivided. Move the points around in randomly in point edit mode. Do this on till it looks like a rock. Then texture it with a nice rock texture with uvmapper or something.

Making the texture go over the edge in photoshop will probably sholve this problem. Now you probably forgot to texture one line of pixels, which leads to this edge. Just make the the texture a little bigger then the mapped cone.

It's probably because you rendered the movie with volume shadows. Anim8or doesn't really support those. You should use ray-trace shadows: it wil take a bit longer to render but you won't get those lines.

I the manual (at the left of your screen) it's a explained very easy. I suggest first reading through the manual and if you still dont get it, then ask questions at the forum.
I hope this helps you.

Isnt there a plugin yet then? I thought i downloaded one last week? Probably i was mistaken then, sorry =(. I cant wright scripts at all so thats not an option either. I think your should stick to T v.6 then.
