Finished Works and Works in Progress / Newton's Cradle
« on: January 17, 2009, 06:52:09 pm »
Well, for some reason when I was bored, I decided to create one of these in anim8or, I'll have a video on Deviantart soon, but for now you'll have to stick with just the still image.
My overall intention was to create a screensaver for myself, and in that sence I succeeded.
Whaddya Think?

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Render to / from frame suggestion.
« on: December 19, 2008, 07:49:01 pm »
Sorry if this has already been mentioned... but it'd be helpful if you could decide to render from a certain frame, or just somehow tell the program from which frame to start rendering, and stop rendering at.

That was quite long winded... hmm

It would help with those occasional crashes people have when rendering en masse.

It's also quite annoying when you've got part of the scene rendered, but have to re-render from the start if it stopped halfway.

Thanks for reading.

Finished Works and Works in Progress / Schoolwork with anim8or? NO WAI!!
« on: December 04, 2008, 04:57:44 pm »
Well, just thought i'd show how i've used anim8or in my school work, it's been an amazing help, and makes it a lot easier to get my point across.

Instead of having to use only words, or images from google that are sub-par or copyrighted, I can create my own art,  Yay!

EDIT: Having trouble uploading images, first batch in next post.

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Small New Idea
« on: November 18, 2008, 05:01:32 pm »
It would probably be helpful to have a timer on the render window, it would make it a lot easier to judge the effectiveness of different light setups, aswell as self information (since I can never guess how long a render will take AT all, with a timer, I could judge more accurately, and it would just help in general.

Thanks for reading.

General Anim8or Forum / Don't hate me...

But i'm gonna have a look at some Blendr tutorials, see if i can get the hang of the shortcuts and tools, i may just give up in about 5 mins, but whatever...

I really just want to use blender for games... since the in-built game engine looks pretty powerful...

Wish me luck, or don't, i know some of you have a bad disposition (hope that's the right term to use) towards Blender... I may post some progress here, and if i find it easy / hard, i'll get back to you...

Any tips you can give me before i get started will be appreciated.
Thanks

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / 2 bugs when running Vista
« on: September 28, 2008, 12:57:52 pm »
The drag selection box is being wierd, it leaves previous selection lines whilst dragging, which go when released.

And everytime i click on a new tool, or mode, the entire toolbox refreshes.

Finished Works and Works in Progress / The Blue Box
« on: September 24, 2008, 03:01:24 pm »
Ok, just made this out of boredom, anything i could do to improve it?

A few things i can think of:

Less reflective blue box, looks transparent (Need help with attributes)
And possibly tiling the walls aswell.

C+C Appreciated Muchly.
I was going for the polished, crystal, shiny look with the tiles... think i might need to change them a little bit.

This project (game) looks very promising at the moment, just found it myself (linked to by a friend)
I've been told he/she may be looking for programming / modelling help.

It'd help if you'd tell him i told you about the site, but you don't have to.

Never successfully managed a hand before, so i tried.... and succeeded, to a certain extent.
Not much to say, but a render of the hand is attached, and i'll try to get a video up somewhere
(i added in a point sequence aswell, but was added after rendering.)

General Anim8or Forum / Bug found, Crashing when drag select.
« on: August 27, 2008, 09:54:37 pm »
Well, i hadn't encountered this before, but i was just attempting to create a basic blade.
It takes a long time to create the curve to how i want it, so i'm using the drag select points, and arrow key technique.
Twice, this has crashed, because (trying to do this quickly) I have accidentally started drag selecting whilst the arrow key was held down.

I don't know why this is happening, but it's really hampering my ability to make blades  :P

Can this be fixed? or will i have to just try to avoid doing that.

I am using the currently most stable version, 0.95.
