I just wanted to see if I could get any functionality out of rendering in stereo (having failed before), starting with an old project just to see if I could get a full render to work but for some reason my anim8or crashes everytime I attempt the render.

I was wondering if anybody could attempt to render this image for me in stereo view just to see if its a problem with my machine or the file itself / whatever.

Any help is welcome, but a few warnings before opening, the file is big so it will take a while to load, not sure if I zipped it correctly :P and make sure you're not doing anything important when you attempt to render (So far its only crashed anim8or for me but wouldn't want anyone to take any risks)

My settings for test render were just 400x300, Scanline, Antialiased.
Cheers, zipped file is attached.

Finished Works and Works in Progress / Apartment WIP
« on: August 07, 2010, 09:13:39 pm »
Ok, first thing i've spent some time on in a while, about 2 hours have gone into building the basic shape (in a not very efficient way lol), 5 minutes setting up basic lights and 10 minutes setting up an animation flythrough.

It's an apartment built on a whim, unfurnished, undetailed and just basically laid out at the moment, hoping to keep working on this unlike many other projects so i'm posting the file.

This is an art render of the last frame (I only have one material applied to everything atm and lights are darkish yellow) :)

If anyone wants other views (there are 4 rooms including main and a section of stairs) just comment and i'll be happy to provide :D

Anyway, enough text, here's a render.

I'm sure lots of you remember the game engine... just recently remembered it but I can't seem to find it!

Is the program dead? or just renamed / rehomed. What's up?!  <<--Doesn't Work!

General Anim8or Forum / Oooooooooh...
« on: November 05, 2009, 03:33:35 pm »

Just seen this video pop up in my youtube subscriptions, and subsequently my face formed a large O shape...

4 words:  Unreal Development Kit, Free

Definitely gonna start experimenting!

General Anim8or Forum / Exporting textures?
« on: November 03, 2009, 06:59:38 pm »
I was just wondering whether or not there was a way to export textures to blender along with a 3ds model.
I find it impossible at the moment to texture in blender and am trying to create a simple game using anim8or models in the game engine.
Does anyone know of an easy way to do so? I've tried re-applying the textures in blender to no avail, all I get is a blank model... any help please?

Atached is a render (yes the roof texturing is CRAZY)
And the model with related files in a .zip file.

Sorry if this is written with bad grammar or anything like that, for some reason I had to repost it after writing it once before so... my brain is a little tired.

General Anim8or Forum / Down?

Was it just my pc, or has the anim8or site been down for a few days?

Finished Works and Works in Progress / Another interesting effect
« on: August 02, 2009, 07:11:06 pm »
Once again, a completely unexpected effect, a file and render are attached for anyone to look at / tamper with.

The object is object 2, and the render is from scene 2

And just as a side note, this render is gonna be my new desktop background! woo
If anyone makes any renders themselves with this file i'd like to see them.

General Anim8or Forum / OpenGL Rendering?
« on: July 04, 2009, 06:16:03 pm »
I was just wondering what system requirements are needed for the OpenGL Renderer? As on this computer, I do not have the option of using it, but on my Vista machine I do...

Is there a download I need? Could somebody point me in the right direction?

Cheers for any help, been meaning to find out about this for a while now.

General Anim8or Forum / Good Model / Media Sharing Sites.

Right, well i've come across a few in the past week thanks to that thread about turbosquid sooo...

Here are some pretty good sites i've found or have been told about!
Not all of them are paysites, some are just places where you can show your work, and allow others to use with attribution (think that's the word)

Anyone is free to add to this, in fact i'd be glad if some people did... my links are a bit thin on the ground
(On most of these sites, my username is "JoeTheWiltshire")

Will try to add more if I find any good ones.

Finished Works and Works in Progress / Strange effect...
« on: June 24, 2009, 06:08:41 pm »
Attached is a file and a render that some of you may find interesting...
I was attempting to create a reflective basketball, as I was trying to make a sort of trophy looking thing...
Didn't do a very good job, but I got an interesting result...

Finished Works and Works in Progress / The sims 3!
« on: June 05, 2009, 09:15:46 pm »
Well... my mum just got the long awaited Sims 3, but the computer had to be a bit... wiped to get it running smoothly.
So in that time, I had a go at recreating the logo out of pure boredom.

Whaddya think?
I know it might be simple, but it's the first time any recreation of mine has matched the origional colours at all :D
(Not very happy with the 3, might take it out)

Finished Works and Works in Progress / My (hopefully) new logo.
« on: May 24, 2009, 08:58:26 pm »[/youtube]]http://www.

Well i've never really had a logo... but I've just had a brainwave and created this, took a few hours, rendered quickly in scanline though.

C+C Is welcome, but I don't plan to change any of it at the moment.
Fading and music added in windows movie maker.

Ok so maybe the music was over the top, but I likes it.

Whaddya think?

Finished Works and Works in Progress / Just something I thought i'd share
« on: February 07, 2009, 06:05:23 pm »
I got an interesting result from rendering the attached file, just wanted to share it with you, inspired by the twirl image that someone from this forum was inspired by a while ago (forgot who you were, sorry)

Aaaaanyway, take a look, the file has a few objects, but the one rendered was Tube 3 - 2 (I think)

Finished Works and Works in Progress / Bowling anybody?
« on: January 30, 2009, 03:46:10 pm »
Whaddya think? Made for a friend's birthday party, if anyone would be so kind as to add motion-y sort of blur in the appropriate places (My sense of image effects is very skewed) I would be most grateful!
