A onetime diehard forumer, I've not been around much in a long while.

Compared to others I've tried, I have always fell back to Anim8or as it is just so easy compared to the rest out there.  Of course, Anim8or has its limits, and it all depends on just what you want to accomplish.  I find it rocks for creating the things I do... Used it to build a couple of starships in Second Life... and oh so many other things over time.

Finished Works and Works in Progress / Retro*Trek and Anim8or

Of late I've been quite scarce in the Anim8or circles, but I continue to make things upon need.

I have been using Anim8or to create components for Retro*Trek projects in Second Life.  My most involved Anim8or endeavor has been the Klingon Original Series style Bird of Prey scout ship. The outer hull is made using Anim8or. I had posted on it over a year ago, but never followed up.  Here are a few images of the ship.  Note, the interior is created using Second Life tools more than Anim8or.

I know my anim8or activity is quite sporadic, but I've struck into another project... designing a "mesh" for SecondLife... and I am bound to sharing any significant endeavors in anim8or with my dear friends here...

General Anim8or Forum / Re: Kubajzz' Materials Database?

Yup, I had to do a search because I knew it had been here at one time... and found the dead link.  For some reason I always had it in my head that Kubajzz had a reference/link to it.  But that's the one.  Thanks much!

General Anim8or Forum / Kubajzz' Materials Database?

Does anyone have a copy of ol' Kubajzz' Materials Database?  The original site link has, sadly gone to internet limbo... and while folks sometimes think it's rather silly, I have always used it as a basis for creating other materials.

Please, PLEASE!!! Anyone?  I think it's worth somehow restoring to accessibility for all interest.

« on: January 05, 2018, 06:04:16 pm »
Those unfamiliar... Mission Backup Earth would NOT be here, frankly, if not for Anim8or.  A core of Anim8or designers were integral to the initial concept development for this project, and if not for that core, the 3DCG team that Mission Backup Earth is highly dependent upon would likely have never taken off.  Even to this date, Tony (Ensoniq5) is the powerhouse of the 3DCG team, I believe still doing much if his basic model-building using Anim8or, prior to porting it to other production software for the higher-end works.

I think this is significant because MBE is an internationally viewed, well-received and highly recognized webseries within its circle of peers.

Actors and stage folk behind, I believe Tony is right near to the Mission Backup Earth creator Alexander Pfander himself in importance to this ongoing webseries project.

You're awesome, Buddy!

Thanks, NoobJens007!  Great to see new (to me) folks around.  I've been out of touch for quite awhile, but at one time was quite the king of unfinished projects here, as the other oldsters will verify ;-)

As per Davdud's comments, I wasn't exactly happy with that last version's muzzle and jaw either, so was already reworking.

I decided to start messing with sequence and scene... testing some animation attempts.  Note, the body is NOT complete, just a mockup... and no limbs created yet.  Just the head.  Also, have not textured the surfaces...

That said, here is a little test of Freddy "coming to life"...
