Anim8or Challenges / Re: Challenge #13: D-D-D-DRAGON!
« on: February 15, 2010, 01:11:51 pm »
Unfortunately I will have to drop out as well, my brother decided he was gonna clean up our files and just went on a deleting spree, and my dragon was caught in the devastation :/

General Anim8or Forum / Re: Old anim8or versions?

I started around v.8 or so

And if I remember correctly, someone made a topic just like this on the old forum and someone replied with a link to a directory with every anim8or version on it.

I started searching for that directory a few months back but have had no luck thus far.

I don't think it's a good idea, off-topic sections would make this forum become a social forum instead of what it was made to be, about anim8or, and adding an off-topic would only attract more spambots, and I don't think steve wants to waste bandwidth on it either, but thats up to him.

Yea I know, I love anti aliasing, I just didn't turn it on for this render because it was just supposed to be a quick pass, and I wanted to see if the bumpmaps worked correctly or not.

Not trying to be mean or anything, but i think the mods would prefer it if you keep this forum strictly about anim8or

I just realized I hadn't touched anim8or in quite some time, and figured I'd break out of my hiatus with something I really enjoy.

Yes it is the turret from the game portal, I even went into the source SDK and stole the wall and ground texture.

It's not quite complete yet for I still have to do a finishing render and tweak it a bit but I figured I'd just leave this here for the time being

Ha very nice :)

I remember when I used anim8or for a science project, I'd say the greatest thing about it is afterward when everyone is wondering how you made it.

It's a special program that was on cartoon network a while back, not sure if its still on(it was when i used to watch cartoons) but the special show would have this 3d host and he would tell you the show and it would play the show

and as for a 3d model of him, I doubt there's one just available for download but, this IS the internet, so there's still a chance

Whoops sorry heres the zip file

Heres mine, I didn't do a whole lot cause I didn't wanna add to the rendering time more than it already will be, but I'm sure he'll like this

General Anim8or Forum / Re: Anim8tor wont work on new computer
« on: December 05, 2009, 10:31:37 am »
Don't know what to tell you, except you could try right clicking the anim8or.exe, going to the compatability tab then check the box next to "run this program in compatability mode for:" then click apply and try and open it.

not sure if this will work but thats how people got it to work on vista, I don't see a reason for it not to work on the 64 bit version of 7, I'm sitting with the 32 bit version and anim8or runs fine.

when you have anim8or open center the view on the problem you're trying to show.

Then on your keyboard press the Prt Scr button(it's right above the insert key on your keyboard) then go to paint then right click in the space and click paste. then save the picture and when going to make a new topic in the anim8or forum, click ">Additional options" click the Choose File button, and find your picture, then press submit.

Done!

Unfortunately that really isn't a question for this forum, you may want to ask it on a borderlands forum.

Here's the official PC technical support forum for borderlands

http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/forumdisplay.php?f=93

Hope you find the answer to your problem, and I know how frustrating it can be to have a problem in a pc game and not know how to fix it.
