I looked through the manual and saw nothing about how to put the "floor" in a scene, I just want to put basic grass, rocks, dirt... and I can't figure it out.

I lost my entire project! I saved frequently throughout, I saved before closing the program, but when I got on this morning, everything was gone! it's still just the criss-cross pictures and that square I tried to start with!  what happened? how do I get it back? can I get it back? I worked very hard on this and I really don't want to hear that it's lost.

I guess I should mention that when I shut down my computer I got a message that said "Anim8or is not responding" even after I closed it. and "Ending program" when I tried to shut down again.  but it still doesn't explain why it failed to save the other times

is there a detailed tutorial on how to set up the "add edge" tool? I'm trying to model a horse skull like the realistic head modeling and I can't make the edge or any kind of line. as you can see in the picture, I tried starting out with a square, but I can't add on to it.

I had some rather complicated plans for a short animation involving a running horse skeleton.  I know how a horse runs, I have frames on that, it's the different parts on the art and the scenery i'll need some help with.  I couldn't find a front view of the skull, so that might have some problems.

General Anim8or Forum / Broken Select tool?

So, I was reading the "eggplant tutorial" (I just got the program and i'm new) and I was selecting some things, but later, around when I tried to make the second bend in the stem, it wouldn't unselect, or select anything else. I tried restarting the program, but it still wouldn't select.  what's going on? how do I fix it?!
