You do really great work - Lots of time in room set up. I have one I'm working on, but had to take a little break from. I use anim8or to model in but use a different rendering program. I spend hours just on lighting.

Without the reflections - not a lot to see just some simple shapes in the right places. To animate this would be simple, but the render time would be - Like OUCH! Wish I knew enough to make it a puzzle box you had to figure out to open and see the prize inside.

This took a little time to render, but I think it was worth it. I am thinking about animating this.

Welcome here new old person - I used Anim8or for years then went into Blender. After Steve introduced Art into the program, Blender made more sense. I have fun using Anim8or and the ease of getting something great without a lot of steps. If Steve adds caustics and fluid, this will be one of the most amazing 3D programs out there. I use Blender for scene set up and a few functions, but I model in Anim8or and have been using Yafaray for rendering. But when I get tired of all the setup junk you have to go through - Anim8or saves the day.

Enjoy  ;D

You can have all the raytrace you want but without proper lighting your 3D can become 2D.

Lighting - Lighting and more lighting - Using multiple lights and have some with shadows and some without shadows. Some lights bright and some not so bright.

The white background has everything to do with the final output - I'll make something in Terragen for the background and see. Thanks for the crit and the comps.

I've been using some of the other programs and I find myself still loving the render output of anim8or. Maybe it's because I'm just not that good with the other programs just yet.

They only make me better. :P

one other thing you could do is add some extra lighting in those areas. Make them all most black and work your way up from there. It would act as a type of AmbientOcculder but without the longer render time.

Use local lighting.

The camara and light are in front of the text, but in front view they appear behind the text. Also in camara view the sphere is mixed with the text. When rendered it comes out fine just not in preview before the render.

I did print screen with all four views.

Just go for it! I can help with putting sound to the animation when it's all done if you need it.

With the little bit of video editing, 3D animation and making my own music for the past 6 years, I have landed a part time job with a TV and video production company. I knew that I needed more training, but I offered to help with nights and weekends for free until I get to the point I'm worth being paid to do it. They will be training me to shoot video and photography. I will also be helping them expand their business network; that is something I already know how to do.

So if you have the gusts to go for it - Just do it!

It doesn't hurt that I've been the head sound man for my church which includes multimedia and video.

So why did I post this here? Because anim8or influenced me into doing more and becoming more. Being apart of this forum has been a big help - So thanks to Steve and everyone that is a part of it all!
