General Anim8or Forum / An82sprite
« on: October 07, 2012, 05:09:55 pm »
An82sprite is a GIMP script that takes the .bmp's and the alphas made by an Anim8or movie render, applies transparency according to alphas, and saves them as .png's.

Installation:
1) Move an82sprite.bat to the folder where your renders are located.
2) Move an82sprite.scm to Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\scripts.

Use:
1) Edit an82sprite.bat and change (without changing any other symbol):
   - name to the name of your render (i.e. if your renders are named foobar0005.bmp and foobara0005.bmp
respectively, write foobar instead of name).
   - 1 to the number of frames you have rendered.
2) Run an82sprite.bat.

Latest version is 1.0 (final, I hope), you can download it from here.

Hello... I don't think that the link to the forum (Original) is still useful. Keeping just the new one will save bandwidth, right admin?

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Grid Snap idea
« on: November 01, 2008, 03:18:29 pm »
Hi
If "grid snap" is enabled,
when moving an object,
it would be nice to draw two dashed lines along the x-y axes
(one horizontal and one vertical line, passing through the top left edge
of the object),
so as to know where the object is exactly snapped.
This would make easier the task of aligning objects.

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Objects in sequence mode
« on: September 01, 2008, 05:06:41 am »
I have a small suggestion for the next version. Imagine a game engine like cre8or. You have a hero (figure/object) and you have some sequences for it (run, walk, shoot). Let's say that you want to add a sequence for a... super power, and you want some objects to start twisting around the hero. What you do? You will have to program all the objects twist around it. Really boring job. If we could animate the objects in sequence mode in anim8or beforehand, the things should speed up a lot.
I hope that object editing and animation can be integrated in sequence mode in the next versions.

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Bug - Cameras & lights in 0.75b
« on: June 19, 2008, 10:53:48 am »
Hi. I found 2 bugs:
1)This bug was fixed for ART, but I now see this:

The camera and the light shouldn't be there. Rendered using Scanline.
2)ART shows me this (in the same scene, different angle):

There is an extra line at the bottom with the background color.

General Anim8or Forum / vessels... or sandwiches?
« on: March 25, 2008, 07:14:19 am »
Hi, I was trying to make an ancient Corinthean bireme, but I managed to create something between a sandwich and a bucket.
Does anyone know a good tutorial for making vessels (ships) ? Thanks for any help.

I hope that someone has got an astronaut model, since I'm not good at anim8ing organic things.
