did you merge the points along the crease? it doesn't look like it.

I think what mcheccyb means is that when you rotate multiple objects orientation, they each rotate about their own axis.
you can have them all rotate about a central point be grouping them and then ungrouping them when you finish.

perhaps a function that would give you a list of joint limit presets that would be contained in a text file. that way, users could add their own and it wouldn't be so specific.

sorry i couldn't respond, i've been away for summer training during the past 3 weeks.
I didn't use bones or morph targets. each segment is a seperate object that is parented to the one before it.

I'd like to see some ASL in scene mode for accessing another objects location and rotation. this could be useful for keeping an object halfway between 2 points and other things.

Convert the sphere to mesh.  Try it then.
kreator had that problem when he first tried to use the script with a parametric cube. this script only works with meshes, convert it to a mesh.

make a path and rename it "tubepath"
the do what you would normally do for a basic shape. you have to rename the path.

Art ignores the Z near and far values. that's why you can still see them in ART.

if you changed the X_ far under the view tab, that won't make a difference in the renders.

in scene mode go Settings > Environment. at the bottom the the screen that pops up you will see a button that says "Advanced", click on it.

now you can set the Z_near and Z_far for rendering in Scanline and OpenGL.

what hihosilver means is what video codec you are using to compress you video, microsoft video 1, no compression, ect.

it would be nice to copy and paste objects and their keyframes.

Another feature i would like is to be able to make closed paths in scene mode that would be like splines but the object on the path keeps going after it gets to the end, like a loop.

I know this is totally off topic but the other thing that niggles me in anim8or whilst in scene mode, is the total inability to Copy/ paste duplicate objects (Carrara Pro 5 has this ) 

I agree with that.

this animation would have taken 2-3 hours if i could have copied and pasted in scene mode. instead, it took 4 days:
