I heard about that, Yahtzee himself was supposed to be involved, but they sorta stopped when Yahtzee became a huge game critic, so hes probably not working on it anymore.

Its the source engine, so that may not matter too much as long as its reasonable. (the easel and car shouldn't need that much to be honest.)

HOLY DOOLEY I haven't been here a while. Last time I checked there were only 300 members on this forum. Now what...2145 members? Well congrats to all the new members!Anyway I have started a new project in which we will convert the 5 Days a Stranger game into source, and as such we need modelers, and wouldn't you know it I checked here. So in order to join you must:

A.) Consider yourself to be good.

B.) Know how to use .mdl files.

and

C.) Have the team consider you good.

As an audition, you must try out by making your version of the images attached( easel in Matthew Defoe's bedroom, Main character Trilby, and Trilby's Car )

Thanks and have fun!

Very nice! Thats better than i might have accomplished.. There should be a crease on the legs, where they meet the body. I also like the dual-proboscis complex you cot goin on the face. And the hairs really made it well......  To put it in perspective, i cant put it in perspective.

probably Carrara. He does that.

Good job, im amazed at how low poly that must be. (besides that gem thing.) shows what texturing can do! can we get a wire frame?

Oh ya i remember that! You mean this one?

All i can say is, great texturing, and good luck copying and pasting that same rail!

Id make the smoke its own layer, hide everything else, and use it as a texture for a plane in that spot.

GOOD JOB!

General Anim8or Forum / Re: OLD 3D Space Shooter Game Engine?
« on: May 19, 2009, 04:41:04 pm »
Why an old engine? If you want an old style, just make the models low poly. Getting an old engine gets you bad physics and bad system compatibility. Try panda3d and just make it look old!

Best of luck on your space age adventures!

Actually i did make the tuners not too long ago. and i did your cut technique, so i might just take it to the extreme and then upload it. Ill try making the strings too, as models don't stretch on the sides.
