Nicely done, on the model. I especially like the texture work, really top notch.

Another nice logo ronaldefarmer. Looks like a lot of work to make it sparkle. :)
Webm works even on my older FireFox browser. Mp4 has never worked for me.

With the restricted use and legal issues of mp4/h264, maybe ogg/ogv, wedm, or flv would be more universal.

After temporarily installing Firefox's latest browser (v29) and uninstalling/reinstalling all my 'updated' codecs for Vista, I still got no browser support for (mp4 with Html5). I've been messing with computers since Commodore Vic20. I've sat through beads of sweat and a stack of CDs and floppies while reinstalling Win95 after formatting my harddrive for the 100th time, but I can't figure this one out.

I have directx accelerated graphics and gpu enabled nvidia running on Vista, but I wouldn't think that has any bearing on this, so I'll just have to wait on this one.

ronaldefarmer I really like your spinning logo!
I can see a bar with a play button but that's all for the embed video test. I mostly use the FireFox browser.
I'll try downloading the latest version and see if I have better luck.

You could just load the screen cap as a reference image and trace it.
...just a thought.

Further to what Steve was referring to.
Creating a mesh using the straight path tool.

The chess pieces look great. Next time if you have a problem like the concave error thing,
you can always post your file and someone will probably find the answer.

Good looking theme/logo Raxx. Will be great having FBX and Collada for game use.

captaindrewi, ya it would be a tough one subdividing that without a few wrinkles.

JSmith_DumDumDumDumDum,  You're still having issues I see. It seems like everything has a concave error.
What example are you referring that has a "slightly concave slant"?

JSmith_DumDumDumDumDum , hope it turned out okay for you.

captaindrewi, haha, I don't think you tried hard enough. I've seen your great work.

Here's my file .... a few 5 sided polygons are not a problem on this type of model, but are neatly disposed of if necessary.

Basically I did the same as you. I selected one then the other and ran the script. There's actually two,
A-B  and  B-A.  Not sure which I used, but I know it took a couple of tries though. I can only assume there
is a problem with bishop mesh to cause an error. Sorry I can't be much more help on that.

Using the knife comes with it's own set of problems, and a bit more work, but the results are much better.
My bishop started as a single  24 x 16 sphere.

Since I really don't use this script I might not be much help on the error, but your setup looks fine.

I modeled a quick top half of a bishop and tried the script. Here's how the slice came out using boolean subtraction.
I also did one with my preferred method the knife tool.

It never hurts to ask. Glad you found a solution.
Personally I don't like the messy results from boolean subtraction, but it will create you're bishop slit quickly.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for?

Tried this out and it's definitely a long wait during render, but it works.
Amazing you've been able to implement these things with the limited scripting resources available.

I've never tried baking Ambient Occlusion before, so thanks for making me more aware of this.
