General Anim8or Forum / Re: Anim8or 3D Viewer
« on: July 28, 2014, 05:57:49 pm »
I'm looking for a basic obj loader that has a transparent background so I can use the background from the website it will be on. I have tried to study the examples that comes with the three.js source code, butI only have gotten as far as loading the model. The camera is too close to the model or the model is too big. I only know how to import one full model. An obj with multiple mesh will not show all of the mesh just one. There is no lights of environment in the scene. Even if I copy a light setup from an example it will not display. They must all be code dependent. Plus my model has not texture.

Hello, I was hoping that someone would be able to help me create my own 3d viewer. I wanted to make one for my website to show off my 3d models but I can;t get it to work completely just yet. I viewed example codes on the internet and even downloaded the source code. I can get my model to load in the scene but that is about all. I can;t load textures, add light or get the camera movement that I want. Just wanted to know if someone can help me build one. I don't need one with a lot of fancy features. It can be pretty basic.

In both scene and sequence mode just expand the hierarchy of the character and shift select all of the bones and key them all.

you rig it like anything else in animator. you should view the tutorials about skinning. But if you mean how to seperate the objects you can select the body buy its material and go to detach faces. it should detach all the objects list it was in makehuman.

if you are a registered member of daz 3d you log in and go to your account and look under past purchases and look for a like that says serial numbers. that's what you put in to activate the software

General Anim8or Forum / daz suit now free
« on: February 02, 2012, 12:16:34 pm »
Today daz studio has added that they will be offering their
4ever modeling suit for free until Feb. The 29th. This includes dad studio pro
Edition, Bryce 7 and hexagon. If you read my other thread about me making a character
From daz you would know that the poly count they produce are
A little on the high side. Hexagon is just a 4ever modeling program which I
Rather stay with anomie. But Bryce 7 is a landscape program that may be useful
Since I haven't been able to use terranim8or on windows 7

I was thinking the same thing about the satisfying post. I mean it feels good for some one to say they liked the anim8or version. Where as the daz  kinda feels like those commercials you see on TV when the person has an asterisk over their heads.

And yea ears are really hard for me. Tried tutorial but all I can get right now is the basic shape. I only recently differed how to model a decent human nose once I start using proper edge loops in the face.

daz has a lower base mesh but that only reduces the poly count to maybe 50 to 60 thousand. It also has a desimater that basically turns it into a low rez triangulated mesh for game developers. I'm not in to making games and I'm more into keeping a quad mesh. plus after finishing what I have so far ( I still have to do the inside of the mouth and texture him. but my version only has 10,000 polys and thats when it is sub divided. Its barely at 2,000 if I don't. plus im not that into details yet. if you look at the head that I modeled, i left out the nostrils and alot of muscle detail. Im not good at modeling muscle detail yet, unless I try to sculpt it.
