WOW, I've seen a lot of wonderfull works here (I LOVE $imon's Ball, modelling and materials are easy but the result is amazing, respect)
Here is my one, ... after a lot of tests.
The An8 file contains the not yet subdivided model, the "Ball5" picture is the modell subdivided 2 times, and the "Fleur" picture is the texture I used for the Cubemap

Wonderfull,
I have a little free time this week-end, I join the team.

My idea is to make something for Steve, like "Happy New Year Steve".
It could be a still render or an animation (a greetings card, animated or not), made only with Anim8or.
I think we don't need a winner for this one, just make somethink to thanks the creator of this great software and show how it is already powerfull.

And thank you that you enjoy my work....I can't believe I take the second place in this challenge with some Stars of Anim8or.

Very nice scene and the colors are "very girly".
As says Simon, a bumpmap can make the water look more like water.
Another trick I already use is to generate a terrain with terranim8or and combinate it with a bumpmap (and reflections of course). I was very happy with the result I get (see challenge 7, Old and rusty)

Thank you for the Tricks, I think you help me to find a method to get something like focal Blur with Artweaver!!
I'll be happy if a 3d champion can take a look to the way I try and say me if it seems OK or not. (If yes, this can be a good new for those who cannot buy photoshop, like me...)

Very nice composition, texture and lightning! I like it. :D
A small question: what is the problem with the plants in Anim8or Renders? Is it due to the shadows with transparency maps?

Hello,
I'd like to try to add DOF to some of my projects (using depht channel).
Is there a free software to do this? (I actually use Artweaver 1.0 for UV MAps and after effects but I think it cannot do that :'().

Hello,
Sorry for long time to answer...I was very busy (work!).
Here is the photo for comparison and a new render (not exactly what I hope, but the final one, because my computer is too slow to try another). Congratulations to everybody, very nice works! I especially like RaXX's work, the materials are "too perfect" but so nice, and there is a beautifull depht.
Good luck to all and thank you for this Challenge, it was very interesting.

Wow,
There are some great works here...
Here is what I try to make (a photo and my first render)
I hope to have time for a new render (with ART Ray Tracer this time) to adjust UV Map, materials and lights :-\

Hello Zoom,
Welcome in 3d World. Very nice model to begin! I don't agree with the crits :-\... this is a first model and it MUST be basic, more details will come later. Follow your way, learn, test, imagine (imagination is everything! ;)), practice and have fun. (Hey, Cool to have a big brother that gives good hobbies idees isn't it?)
Hope to see your art again here.
Tof.
