General Anim8or Forum / Re: Motion Blur?
« on: April 16, 2008, 12:43:36 am »
Ooh that would be wonderful.
So far all I can do make an object and then duplicate it again and again with a transparent texture placing them behind each other to make it look blurry.
It only works for still images though...
Yes I would like an answer to your question also, but I don't think there is.

Thanks Raxx... everytime it turned yellow I assumed I'd done something wrong! :)

Aah that does make sense... thanks guys.  ;D

I'll probably invest in a whole new computer soon anyway... the stats of this one are plain embarrasing.  :)

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / I'm encountering a very annoying bug.
« on: March 24, 2008, 03:23:16 am »
Now this only happens sometimes, but when I press either "Save" "Save As" or "Open" the program shuts instantly without any warning, resulting in a loss of work.

As I said, this only happens sometimes, and I don't know what causes it.

Sorry I can't be more specific... this is really all there is to say.

This is the second thread that you've made about this. Don't repeat posts please.

General Anim8or Forum / Question about the Anim8or workspace
« on: February 29, 2008, 04:21:58 am »
In preferences, I notice that (presumably due to my graphics card), that under the OpenGL workspace area 'Antialiasing' 'Shadows' and 'Shaders' are greyed out so I can't tick them,  and under the Renderer option I can only select 'Scanline'.

Now, my question is can I trick Anim8or into thinking I have a better graphics card, so these options are avaliable to me? System performance doesn't matter to me, I would just like to see them working.

Thanks  :)

General Anim8or Forum / Re: Questions about textures
« on: December 23, 2007, 12:12:22 am »
You can tile the texture...  when you apply the texture (after going Settings > Component > Texture UV and press apply on the materials tab... if you want more detail on all that, please ask) you can hold down the middle mouse button and drag to cause the texture to repeat itself. Thats how I do it.

And to go 'ambient' 'diffuse' etc, from the materials tab, double click on the material and simply click 'Textures' underneath the Trans setting. From there, you can select where the texture goes, including bumpmaps etc.

I hope this helps  :)

Sorry to hear that you didn't like it...

But still, I respect your ability to use Blender. Personally I think it would be easier to calculate the distance travelled by a dust particle being fired out of a walrus tusk on the planet Venus while being attacked by Monkeys than using Blender. Just my opinion.

Good on you for stopping by... I can't say I remember you, but I felt the need to reply  ;D

Hehe... all of the forums written by 'anim8orblenderman' always involve a discussion about porting to Mac...

But in response to what I think the original question was supposed to be, my old username was 'SEGA'  :)

Nice new forum!  :)

I took this opportunity to change my username... In the other forum I was known as SEGA. I changed to match my username on other forums... and I didn't steal anyone elses name so i'm not breaking any laws  ;)

Great forum... thanks for changing Steve.  ;D
