the base model is made in anim8or but the greeble and textures along with the render was in 3ds max.

C&C welcome. i'll put the model up for download later.


ps. to make the space background you can do it as follows.

1-open up the gimp and fill the image solid black.
2-then go to filters noise and use the default filter. change the value up to max and play around with the sliders the end result is the pic.

mudbox cost 600 dollars on the autodesk website.

i decided since my hydralisk was too low poly that iwould try for a higher poly one and maybe even an animation.

this is njot necessarily true.

when i import a multi piece object from lithurunwrapper or 3ds max it always merges it into one object. but if i do it with a 3ds object then it imports as a group.

just wondering if you could make a feature when you import the obj files that create the object as seperate meshes instead of merging all of them together?

what ENSONIQ5 said is the equivalent to grouping although it allows more control.

could you give  a little mroe detail on how you made the smoke it seems (from an animatiion standpoint) to be motion correct. akin to a vapor program like fumefx.
