General Anim8or Forum / request/suggestion
« on: April 30, 2018, 07:33:00 am »
Hi Steve.... I would like to see a way of changing the default values of the extrude tool to my own default values.
(don't know if any other users might find this useful).
No chance of this before your annual Italy excursion in any event i am imagining. :)

General Anim8or Forum / @steve-bones..size
« on: May 03, 2016, 05:53:40 am »
@ Steve - You know when you are adding bones it would be good if when you want a thinner bone and you change the diameter in the dialogue box it remains at that size for the addition of subsequent bones until you change it back.
Sorry if this has been suggested before.
woul'd have put this in the suggestions for anim8or future section but cant find it or we aren't allowed to make new threads in that area at the moment.

« on: April 21, 2015, 11:02:53 am »
What happened with this :o. why is the background dulled in scene mode prior to render nowadays?I'm sure this wasn't always the case and i know i have brought this matter up before but i cant remember what was said.
It is the same on 3 computers i have tried it on with different graphics capabilities and operating systems.

General Anim8or Forum / middle mouse button emulation
« on: April 12, 2015, 10:03:25 pm »
Middle mouse button emulation for those that need it. I do because I have a two button mouse pad on my laptop :o. You miss so much of Anim8ors functionality without a MMB ???,  especially when working with bones.I have a three button mouse and plug that in when there is a large amount of work to do but sometimes i'm not somewhere there is space for a mouse and its so annoying on occasions when i don't have the MMb option :-\.
But i have found a free and simple 'Middle mouse button emulator' which works for me. 8)

Hope this helps others in need of an MMB.
Be sure you read the instructions. :)

General Anim8or Forum / things used to work fine once upon a time.
« on: December 06, 2014, 07:54:58 am »
Anim8or goes nuts in figure mode, it freezes up when i try to add a simple object to a bone it takes ages to load. It works better if i turn it to open gl render mode but eventually freezes. If i load a previously constructed figure it loads ok behaves for a short period then freezes. Sure this must be a driver issue as it behaves like this even with 0.98.currently i have open gl 4.4.
win7.amd radeon graphics.hd 6520g....dismayed.

Finished Works and Works in Progress / nasty tris and happy quads
« on: August 15, 2013, 09:54:49 pm »
Got a lot out  of Kyle Sans thread and simons tips re converting anomalies in the mesh to quads.
i re-tackled a face that i had given up on looking for ways to apply the tips and have transformed it
a lot but still have peculiar areas.
Didn't want to high jack Kyle Sans thread so am hoping if you would simon, put some red/green correction tips/marks on this.
i just want to sort the quad issues i realise there are lots of other anatomical problems with it.

General Anim8or Forum / anim8or educational resource
« on: September 12, 2011, 12:34:50 pm »
dotan8 is trying out another approach to anim8or education
for those interested.

CLARODINE E - LEARNING

We thought it was about time Dotan8 got a face lift, so whilst it was parked we took the opportunity to try out some E-learning packages, We started with Moodle but that package we found out was not supported by our Hosting Site, but eventually we have installed Clarodine1.9 .

We are now writing a basic anim8or course aimed at 8-12year olds and hopefully we can spread the word through local primary schools to Login and try it out .

We will be adding more advanced courses, but at the moment we are still figuring the software out, but eventually you will be able to sign up , read and watch various projects, then carry out assignments and exercises to gain acceptable passes to carry you onto the next course.

As we said early days but you are welcome to pop over and perhaps sign up for the course as they become available.

ASL Scripts / bone editing
« on: August 24, 2009, 11:28:06 am »
Dear chaps
who are great at the mysterious scripts.
is it possible to write a script
that makes all bones in a figure
to be free and have no limits?
and if so can you make one please.

maybe it has been reasoned that its best to have them set to no values
as default but for  me at this point in my development i would find the opposite
more useful.

ps ....would prefer bvh script progress ahead of this though. ;D
