No clue for the why at this side. (Although I seems to vague remember some similar (general)issue.)

Anyway. Confirming this one for 1129, although at this end its the returning to Figure mode that triggers the crash. [XP]
- Load example file. (with the framerate{0} part fixed.)
- Switch to Figure mode.
- just in case: Flat-view + "Flat Outline" enabled.
- Activate Multi-Bone Skin.
- Click Mesh.
- Switch to other mode, and back to Figure mode.
* Crash.

(Disabling "Flat outline"/"Smooth Outline" seems to prevent the crash.)

Using Flat view and Flat outlines in Figure mode seems to be part of the triggers.

YW.

Mmm. Rereading your initial message, This part:
Oddly, if the figure (and object) are imported into another an8 project, the figure can be added to a sequence and work as long as the figure is not modified.  If an attempt is made to alter the figure, Anim8or will crash.
Seems to be not directly related to the zero framerate. So you might not be completely out of the woods yet. (I have not checked this part)

... lol

Code: [Select]
framerate { 0 }Don't do that. Do f>0.

Fixed: v0.9.8 build 1137
Crash on Undoing a Material (color) change. (1129 specific)(XP)
- Clean Anim8or. (Object mode)
- Create Material01. (defaults+OK)
- ReOpen Material01 + Change Color (Diffuse) + OK
- Undo (button|CTRL-Z)
* Crash

*fixed update*

OK here's why I couldn't reproduce. I was using Ctrl-V to paste which doesn't crash. If you use Edit->Paste it crashes.
Aha.
I totally forgot about that alternative route. *facepalm*. :)

(edit/nts: Seems Xp in this case is a bit more crash prone than, assuming, Win-7. Xp+Ctrl-V==crash to.)

2) (and Nothing writin next to Robin at top of window.)
This seems, or is, limited to Classic theme usage.

Regarding #2, ... it shows the application title text in the taskbar so I'm assuming it's alright.
Taskbar icon text is not effected by this. Or: Taskbar text is always showing the correct/intended text.

(edit: For both - Tested on Win-Xp, unsure about Win-7)

2. Same problem on Win-Vista on this side. Anim8or crashes after paste of unbound modifier.

1. Roger. :)

2. Yes, I was using 1127. (issue was 'not' detected in 1124). Win-Xp on this side. I'm not sure what other locals might play a role here. (will retest on other computer with Vista.)

New one:
RunTime Error: (seems memory leak)(XP+Vista)
- Bind Mesh(any, Dodec) to Modifier(any, Bend).
- With mouse, adjust modifier [Move, Rotate, Scale(both)]
* While doing so Anim8or's memory usage only goose up, ending(after a while) in a terminal run-time error.
(build 1127 only)(build 1129 download-link got overlooked) ...?...
Fixed: v0.9.8 build 1137

(just dumping something that always pops up in my mind when working with modifiers.)

Modifier "Length" as additional option in the Modifier option window.

- - -

"Diameter" and "Segments" seems way less useful/important in relation to Bound Modifier usage ... But as its also possible to use a Unbound Modifier as Mesh source, having them in those cases seems to make sense.

Little leftover problem ...
- Create modifier. (Any I think, using Bend)
- Copy. (modifier still selected)
- Paste. (Crash ... oops)
Fixed: v0.9.8 build 1137

(Build 1124 is not having this problem)

+(Initial spotted issue at start of testing, so not sure yet if there are no other issues.)

Roger, thanks.

Taking some time for this.

Just to make sure. The following behaviors are intentional features, correct?
- When you [move, rotate, scale] a modifier with the mouse. Only the modifier part is affected and not the bound item(if any).
- A modifier bound item can't be edited [move, rotate, scale]+(with mouse) while its bound to a modifier (only bound item selected).

(ps: The zipped build 1124 exe.file is named 1224.)

#098-043 - Multiple Modifier issues in properties dialog and copy/paste.
Fixed: v0.9.8 build 1127

Fixed(additionals): Build 1137

A couple of latent Modifier hiccups.

Tested against build 1121.

1 minor.
1 show-stopper.
1 possible hidden minor.

Modifier, Bend, Copy and paste: (v<=0.6.0.0)
- Create Modifier(Bend)
- (Bind a cylinder that's sticking out a bit at the top and bottom of the modifier)
- Set Bend to n>0. (90)
- Cut and Past the Modifier.
* (Cylinder at one of the modifier sides sticking way to far out.)
- Open Modifier Editor and close. (OK or Cancel)
* Modifier seems to collapses to height zero.

Modifier, Skew, Settings shift: (Appears between: v0.9.8.1 & v0.9.8.1088)
- Create modifier(Skew).
- Change modifier settings Skew(1) and Angle(45) + OK.
* Modifier is showing Skew 1, but not the Angle.
- Open Modifier Editor.
* Skew is now zero and Angle is now 1 (even if Angle was previous set to Zero).

Modifier, Skew, Copy and paste: (v<=0.6.0.0, up to 0.9.8.1)(Might still be there in 1121)
- Create modifier(Skew).
- Change modifier settings Skew(1) and Angle(45) + OK.
- Cut and Paste the modifier.
* Skew settings where copied, but are not used anymore by the paste modifier.

(Modifier resets to normal behavior after changing its Type.)
(Swell, Taper, Twist: Nothing out of the ordinary spotted.)

*forcing full topic fix*

The number PI is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, approximately equal to 3.14159. ...
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pi for the rest.

(And its a Constant in Anim8or scripting language.)
