1. No way I know of or have ever heard of.
2. You can lock it's scale, but that is all you can do, so no.
3. There is currently no way to change the background color in the editing field.

General Anim8or Forum / Re: is animator free?
« on: December 08, 2008, 12:21:38 am »
Short answer, yes.

Long answer:
"You are granted a license to use Anim8or for personal, educational and commercial
purposes.  Anything that you make with it, you own.  This includes images, models,
animation projects, movies, etc.  Of course if you use others work as part of your
own you need their permission as well, but Anim8or imposes no restrictions on what
you can do with your work.  There is no fee for this license."

Nice start. Love the way water's color, reflection, transparency, and shadows.

Found a free tree gen called "arbaro" You can find it here http://sourceforge.net/projects/arbaro/

Unfortunately it comes untextured, so I selected a face on the trunk > select connected (c) > detach faces (D) that separates the needles from the trunk.

I made this for the creator of an online comic strip I read religiously. I won't bother trying to explain everything to ya (way too much to tell)

As the character and ship and symbol are all his work, please do not use this picture.

C&C appreciated.

Hihosilver, I completely agree.

Idk if it's the same where your from, but if you're from USA, then the lines on the road are the wrong colors I think. See, in America, you put a yellow line between opposing lanes of traffic. Between lanes of traffic going the same way they use a white line instead.

Other than that, great job so far. Just keep working on it, and you'll have something to be proud of for the rest of your life.

Beautiful model, great flow, love the textures. Only thing I notice is, what looks to me, like errors in your geometry. Very small things though. I also notice there is no under body (look at the reflective floor) Is all the rendering done in anim8or, or just the modeling?

Got a prelim video ready, still working out some bugs, but I think I'm getting some good ideas about this stuff.

I'm having a hard time trying to explain what I've done so far, so I'm just including my .an8 file.

It's handy to live a community isn't it? :D

Absolutely.

I do wish that something like this could then be achieved somehow with bones or one solid mesh

I got an idea about how that might be done. I'm trying a combination of this technique, morphs, and figures to try and make it look like a single elongated object instead of a stack of balls. If I get it to work right, I will post it asap.

Just a personal opinion here, but I'm not too sure about that skin texture. Something about it just looks wrong to me. Teeth look good though.

I've been trying to figure out how to get an effect like this for about 3-4 years now. I have got to try this out sometime. Ty so much for this post.

I love geodesics and would love a copy once you're done.

Good job on the graphics. I think the in-game physics could use a bit of tweaking here and there. I like the hidden pipe shortcuts. My only real negative on it is that you can only play it once, then it closes. I'd like to be able to play more than 1 game per session.

Anim8or v0.98 Discussion Forum / Sequence requests
« on: December 01, 2008, 01:27:00 am »
Just a few (hopefully small) requests for sequence mode.

Be able to use graph edit in sequence mode. Including adjusting the handlebars.

Use of morph targets.

That's it. I hope it's not too much work. I truly appreciate all the work you have put into Anim8or. It's a great program.
